1. Who this applies to
Accounts are for adults (parents, SLPs, teachers, therapists) who are 13 or older. We do not knowingly create accounts for, or collect personal information from, children under 13. Children are board users supported by an adult account holder. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
2. What we collect
- Account info: name, email, role, and a public handle you can change.
- Content you create: boards, posts, comments, messages, and any images or text you add.
- Usage data: basic operational logs needed to run and secure the service.
3. Sensitive & health-related content
AAC boards and community posts can contain health- or therapy-related information. Please share only what is necessary and be mindful of what you make public. Your profile defaults to private; you choose if and when to make content public, share a board, or message others.
4. How we use information
To operate the service, provide community and sharing features, maintain safety and moderation, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Sharing
Content is shared only as you direct (e.g., publishing a board, posting in a group, sending a message). We use service providers (such as hosting and database infrastructure) to run the platform, under obligations to protect your data. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect users from harm.
6. Your choices
You can edit your profile and visibility, delete content you’ve created, and request deletion of your account by contacting us. You can report and block other users from within the community.
7. Security
Passwords are stored hashed, and we take reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
